Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
Morning game drive in the Buligi game area and an afternoon Nile boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison falls
After having an early breakfast at your lodge around 6 am, you’ll head to the Buligi game area for a 3-4 hour game drive and wildlife viewing on a Uganda Safari Tour. This drive will give you a golden opportunity to explore the picturesque grasslands of the northern Murchison Falls National Park.
During the exciting drive, you’ll enjoy great views of the sunrise as you look out for buffaloes, elephants, leopards, lions, hyenas, hippos, warthogs, and numerous antelope species such as hartebeests, bushbucks, waterbucks, and oribis. You’ll also have the chance to see patas monkeys and baboons. Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
On Day 9, you will drive from Bwindi to Mburo National Park for an evening game drive.
After a leisurely breakfast, you will embark on a 4-hour drive to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest savannah park in Uganda, covering over 260sq km. Despite its small size, Mburo Park is home to over 350 bird species and more than 68 animal species, including Leopards, Buffalos, and Hyenas. It is the only place in western Uganda where you can spot Zebras, beautiful Elands, and Impalas.
The park features over 5 lakes, which are inhabited by Hippos, Crocs, as well as numerous water birds. The swamps around these lakes are also home to Sitatunga antelopes. From Bwindi, you will enjoy a scenic drive passing through lush coffee and banana plantations, small villages, and stunning rolling hills.
Upon reaching Mbarara town, you will stop at Igongo Cultural Centre for a traditional and delicious lunch.
The commercial complex not only boasts one of Uganda’s best museums but also features a 5-star hotel, a premier restaurant, and craft centers. After lunch, your journey will continue to Mburo park. On the way to the park entrance, you can expect to see remarkable herds of long-horned Ankole cattle.

Day 10: Departure, End of 10 Day Best of Uganda Wildlife Viewing
On Day 10, start your morning with a walking safari in Mburo Park.
You’ll be up early at around 6 am to meet a knowledgeable ranger who will guide you through the park on foot. Keep an eye out for Giraffes, Zebras, Elands, Impalas, Topis, Waterbucks, Bushbucks, and a variety of birds. It’s important to note that there are no Elephants and Lions in Mburo National Park, so you can enjoy your walking safari without the need for a vehicle.
After the game walk, embark on a 3-4 hour drive back to Entebbe. During the drive, you’ll make a stop at the Uganda Equator Line in Kayabwe for some incredible photo opportunities. Here, you can take photos straddling both hemispheres, capturing a unique memory of your 10-day safari in Uganda.
Following the Equator visit, continue your journey to Entebbe, arriving around 8 am. Depending on your flight schedule, your tour guide will either take you directly to the airport or, if you have a late flight, to a hotel where you have reserved a day room.
